Situated in the conservation area between the provinces of Anta and La Convencion in the Apurimac river basin, Choquequirao is 103 813 38 hectares, having under its protection altiplano eco-systems, native trees, humid mountain forests and a great variety of fauna.
It’s up to us, public/private organizations and local people to preserve this beautiful place and to maintain the delicate balance between the natural and the cultural, since it hosts important Inca archaeological ruins and a singular beauty in terms of its scenery.
