Maras Moray Tour and Salt Mines “Salineras” tour is a circuit around the sacred valley of the Inca, offering spectacular views of the Vilcanota mountain range and taking us to beautiful Andean villages, such as Chinchero and Maras.
This tour will demonstrate how the Inca adapted to the geography of the area and used it to their advantage, creating a centre for the adaption of seeds to high altitudes. We will also be delighted by unique scenery when we arrive at the salt mines, also known as “Las Salineras”.

Here we will find the sculpted landscapes, forming circular terraces and platforms, built by the Inca, possibly for the purpose of adapting and improving seeds to the high altitude.
Finally we head for the salt mines of Maras, very different in appearance to the usual Andean landscapes, and from their back to Cusco, where we will conclude this beautiful tour.
